Maintaining jobs push
TWO STOCKTON entrepreneurs are set to create up to 40 jobs after establishing a property maintenance and repair company, partly to help householders with too little time or skills to do it themselves.
Home Care UK, established by Garry Rawlinson and Darren Jennings, has ambitions to roll out a country-wide franchise. It is recruiting qualified staff to repair everything from draughty doors to leaky taps, damp-proofing surveys to large-scale commercial maintenance work.
With 23 years’ experience in the industry, Mr Rawlinson, who has built up a portfolio of residential and commercial properties in the North-east of England, is also looking to establish a “property village” in Bulgaria.
He said: “Initially, we will provide a very localised service by targeting residents and companies in the Cleveland areas. We must guard against the danger of trying to grow too large too quickly, which other companies in our field have found to their cost.”
The company has recruited 17 staff.
