Recruitment firm reveals expansion plan

STOCKTON-BASED specialist recruitment company Wolviston Group has revealed plans to make further acquisitions within the next year that would help increase turnover to £50m.
Managing director Robin Davison confirmed the group was in talks with three companies and hoped a deal could be done “within nine to 12 months”.
An acquisition would cement the firm’s reputation as a major player in the recruitment of technical and engineering personnel.
With an annual turnover of more than £30m, Wolviston Group is one of only five suppliers of permanent staff to oil producer Shell.
Mr Davison said: “Our business plan going forward involves a combination of strategic acquisitions and organic growth. We are also looking to expand our presence in areas such as China and Indonesia, which have been buoyed by increased growth in the oil and petrochemical industries.”
Recently Wolviston, which acquired Yoh UK Staffing Solutions two years ago, was awarded multi-million pound contracts to recruit permanent and temporary staff worldwide and is negotiating the extension of others in the Tees Valley.
It employs 1,200 people worldwide - 600 of whom are in the Tees Valley - and recruits for major oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical firms in the UK and overseas.
