Bathroom centre makes a big splash

A LUXURY bathroom centre has opened with a splash in Middlesbrough.

Specialists Premier Living has unveiled its 7,500sq ft showroom on Linthorpe Road offering homeowners the chance to transform their bathrooms into havens of relaxation.

On show are the latest designs, from contemporary to traditional, oriental to minimalist, with more than two dozen stylish suites on display.

Customers can get a close look at showers, wet rooms and accessories.

Director of Premier Living, Denis Shail, said: “We took eight weeks from start to finish, from drawing up the plans and arranging the lease to completely gutting the premises and getting it ready to open - and the finished showroom has exceeded all our expectations.

“We are really excited about this new venture.”

Denis and co-director Andrew Wetherall have worked with landlords Python Properties, of Middlesbrough, to bring the original 1920s art deco building firmly into the 21st century at a cost of £140,000.

“The building really complements and contributes to the whole of the Linthorpe Road regeneration and the redevelopment of central Middlesbrough,” said Denis.

With an expected turnover of £1m in its first year and a rapidly filling order book, Premier Living is already thinking of expanding into the fitted kitchen market.
