Big saving on healthcare costs gives firm a tonic

A LEADING electronic engineering company in the region has manufactured a massive saving on its healthcare costs thanks to North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC).
The NECC, the region’s foremost business membership organisation, helped Current Thinking, based at the Business and Innovation Centre, Sunderland, save almost £800 on healthcare costs through its flagship alternative to private medical care, the NECC Healthcare Trust.
It is the second reason of late for Current Thinking to celebrate, after it recently won the contract to fit all the fire telephone systems at this year’s Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
Tony Douglas, chairman of Current Thinking, a world leader in products for legislative markets, said: “Saving £800 on our healthcare costs is fantastic for Current Thinking, and to put it in to perspective – the saving is more than double what our NECC membership cost is for the whole of 2008.

The Trust includes no excess on claims, eliminating hassle and saving members money, and also allows members the flexibility to plan their treatment when it suits them, and at a hospital which is suitable for their circumstances.
