MoShine take to the stage

THE co-founder of Teesside’s successful animation and motion graphics company MoShine, will share the stage with Britain’s most generous self-made billionaire next week.

Satish Shewhorak takes to the platform at the Entrepreneur’s Forum in Gateshead with mogul Sir Tom Hunter, who recently made headlines for pledging to give away £1bn to good causes.

The son of a grocer, Sir Tom, began his business life selling trainers out of a garage in Ayrshire and finally sold out to retail rival JJB Sports for £290m. He went on to set up the private equity group, West Coast Capital.

Shewhorak, who set up MoShine with two fellow graduates from the University of Teesside, backed by the sector’s DigitalCity, will be among a number of regional businessmen and women contributing to the “What Drives a Serial Entrepreneur?” event at The Hilton, Gateshead, on March 12. It coincides with the launch of a major new Gazette-sponsored campaign next week designed to encourage new business ideas. For further details and to register, call 0870 850 2233.
