Van Hee to double number of trainees

A TRANSPORT firm which sold its haulage business last year has laid out plans to double the size of its training arm as profits rise.

Van Hee Training, based in Felling, Gateshead, sold its haulage division to national group TAL Logistics Group in December, bringing to an end 40 years on the road for its yellow and brown trucks.

However the company plans to double the number of people it processes in its training arm – which trains workers for the logistics industry – to 2,400 in two years.
