Chance of recovery

A NEW business in Stockton is helping people UK-wide recover thousands from lenders.
Personal Finance Claims, at Preston Farm Industrial Estate, helps people to understand how new consumer laws could result in them being eligible for financial compensation. Reviews of legislation introduced the concept of ‘unfair credit relationship’ which protects consumers.
Now the company is urging people to check if they could be eligible for compensation. Anyone who has taken out a mortgage, secured loan or motor finance since 1990 may qualify for compensation as a result of invalid, unenforceable or fundamentally flawed consumer credit agreements. Colin Hartness, who runs Personal Finance Claims, said: “Thousands of people just don’t realise that they are eligible to potentially make a claim.”
