Make enterprising mark
TIME is running out to submit nominations in the annual search for the most enterprising place in the North-east.
The Enterprising North East England competition is looking for the city, town or village which is doing something innovative to boost the local economy or to help the community. Deadline for entries is this Friday.
The winner goes forward to the national, Enterprising Britain competition, judged by a panel of experts including star of TV’s Dragon’s Den, Peter Jones.
North-east judges include Pam Hargreaves from the Make Your Mark in Tees Valley enterprise campaign and Sue Snowdon, who led last year’s winning entry from Bishop Auckland.
Pamela Hargreaves, head of campaign for Make Your Mark in Tees Valley said: “The competition helps to create a more dynamic enterprise culture for everyone and raises awareness of those people who really have made a difference in their local area.”
