AMARI Plastics in Gateshead can now offer a greater choice of products and better quality of service following major investment.
After three years of rapid growth, the Newcastle branch at Team Valley has improved areas of the business in response to high demand from both the trade and public.
Specialising in the supply and distribution of industrial and engineering plastics, the business has invested in new machinery, as well as more efficient warehousing. Covering the whole of the North of England and Cumbria, Amari offers everything from high performance digital printing materials, to glazing solutions, exterior and interior cladding, roofing materials and conservatories.
The recent investment in a Mayer computerised saw guarantees a dimensionally accurate finish, while its postforming unit ensures an all round chip-free cut on panels with post or soft formed edges. It also has an automatic cutting height setting facility which guarantees the right saw blade projection every time.
The business has also invested in new racking facilities, as well as strengthening its yard areas to provides areas for bulk stock on a quick turnaround basis. Improvement has also been made to the trade counter and now features additional interactive displays to showcase its products to the trade and public for all their business or DIY needs.
Branch manager Colin Rowntree, said: “After tremendous growth over the past three years, it became obvious that in order to continue to provide efficient service and stock on demand, investment was required. We are extremely happy with our prestigious location adjacent to Retail World on Team Valley. Moving site was not an option, so we have invested in new racking to improve our handling time. Customers can now benefit from a greater product choice and fuller range.
Digital media is one of the main areas of the business.
