AN event being held next month to showcase the region’s talent and track record in providing the latest internet-based technologies for regional, national and international customers.
IP World 2008 is the brainchild of fast growing Houghton-le-Spring based IT infrastructure specialists Advantex Network Solutions.
The event is designed to underpin the North East’s emerging position as a market leader in designing and supplying IP (Internet Protocol) based-solutions. It is being held at Ramside Hall Hotel on May 1.
The event has already generated interest from regional manufacturers and resellers of IP technology – Coniston IT, Medium UK, Executel and Netgenium Systems Ltd.
IP World 2008 has also attracted the support of leading global IT companies such as Sony, Samsung Network Solutions and Mitel.
The event, which includes seminars and workshops, is expected to be attended by IT, facilities managers and directors from across the region, keen to find out more about the latest technologies and solutions.
Advantex was founded six years ago by former Royal Marine commando Stephen O’Connell and his brother Dave.
Now employing 35 people, it will break through the £3m sales barrier later this year – making it one of the fastest growing firms in its sector in the region.
Customers include Nissan, SCS, Caterpillar Articulated Trucks, NSK Steering and Simpson’s Malt.
