CONSTRUCTION students at Redcar and Cleveland College are celebrating success at a top industry qualification.
Twelve students on the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety passed the course giving the college a pass rate of 90%, exceeding the national average of 70%.
Two students, Gavin Prothero and Wain Ratcliffe, gained passes at distinction, and six students were awarded credits.
The students, all employed within the industry, were assessed through a practical assessment and two written exams.
The 14 week course, which is aimed at supervisors, managers and co-ordinators in the construction industry, covers the regulatory requirements for Occupational Health & Safety.
Tutor Colin Willis said: “These students have done fantastically well to not only complete a quite challenging course but to achieve distinctions and credits.”
