Winners in Monaco

TEESSIDE bankers have had the red carpet treatment after being named some of the best in the business.

Barclays local business managers Paul Griffiths and Aaron Cuzzocrea, based on Teesside, have been presented with the Barclays Platinum Award in recognition of their outstanding contribution to customer service.

The award was accompanied with an all-expenses-paid trip to Monaco with a guest, staying at the exclusive five star Fairmont Hotel, in recognition of their outstanding performance during 2007.

Paul and Aaron jetted out the trip which included a gala dinner in Cannes and a trip to the local casino.

When selecting the winners, the judges were looking for exceptional customer service for their portfolios of customers and the ability to attract new business from the competition.

Anthony Dryden, Barclays local business area manager on Teesside, said: “Paul and Aaron are very committed to their customers and the local community.

“This is a really important way of recognising their valued contribution.

“With over 1,000 managers throughout the country eligible this is a fantastic accolade for Teesside Local Business team to have two of the winners.”

Paul Griffiths was delighted with his award and said: “I pride myself in really understanding my customers’ business and offering the best possible service all day, every day. To be recognised for this was terrific and the award was fantastic.”
