Premium’s aim is to treble turnover

A FAST-GROWING training and recruitment company is gearing up for more expansion including plans to open a base in the Tees Valley.

Peterlee-based Premium People has undergone rapid expansion over the last two years and is now looking to treble its turnover with the creation of 24 new jobs.

It has doubled the size of its headquarters in Peterlee, expanded its workforce - from two to 21 current staff - and is opening new sites across the region.

The business, which specialises in permanent and temporary recruitment for the industrial, commercial and contact centre sectors, has recently opened an office in Consett. It plans to open a new office in Sunderland by the end of July and will see a new branch opening in Darlington in September this year.

Lee Rankin, 38, who has worked for a leading regional recruitment firm for the past eight years, has been appointed as head of permanent business to support the company in its development plans.

Lee will be working closely with founder and managing director Paul Boyes, to develop new business and professional recruitment solutions across a wide range of industry sectors including logistics, engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas, commercial and contact centres.

Paul said: “I am delighted to have Lee on board – his vast knowledge and expertise will help us to drive our professional permanent business to support the career development of tomorrow’s business and technology leaders.”

He added: “We have grown exponentially over the last two years - over 800 people have already been placed by the business and over 100 companies from a diversity of sectors have used our services to date.”
