A HARTLEPOOL health product supplier is planning an assault on the burgeoning Irish market in a bid to almost double turnover to £2m within 12 months.
Studio Products Limited has teamed up with Dublin pharmaceutical firm Perrans Distributors - part of the UniPhar Group - to supply herbal supplement Hoodia Mint throughout Ireland.
The deal is on a trial basis only, but Studio is confident the product will be a hit in a country where demand for nutritional products has grown by 12% - almost three times the European average.
The company is also trialling Hoodia Mint and natural dietary supplement Actislim Ultra, in six North-east-based stores owned by Norchem Healthcare, one of the region’s largest pharmaceutical wholesalers.
If successful with consumers, the products will be rolled out across Norchem’s 21 regional stores.
