Creative spark for women entrepreneurs

SUCCESS stories from female entrepreneurs are being used to inspire other women with the spark of an idea to take the plunge and start their own businesses.

Next month’s Spark Your Potential event aims to show women how to recognise their good ideas and to help those already in business to grow their enterprises.

Spark, the women’s enterprise ambassador network and the Make Your Mark campaign have organised the free event, which will take place at Sunderland’s National Glass Centre on October 15.

It will include sessions with women including North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, Nicky Gott, who runs an events management company, and Kari Owers, of O Communications, plus a seminar on inspirational women with TV presenter Kim Inglis.

Ms Owers said: “I know from experience how daunting getting that project up and running can seem at first.”
