Eastwood in new spot for RBS force on Tyneside

ONE of the region’s main commercial lending banks has a new director. Mark Eastwood has been appointed by the Royal Bank of Scotland to be its new director of commercial banking for Newcastle.
The 35-year-old will lead a 25-strong team working with customers in and around Newcastle that have an annual turnover of between £1m and £25m.
Mark joins the Newcastle office from the bank’s Teesside commercial banking team where he was director.
Prior to that he was an associate director within the business development team in Leeds responsible for driving out business development opportunities for the bank in and around Leeds.
He said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the team in Newcastle.
“It is great to inherit a first class customer base that will be central to everything we do and I look forward to working with the team to develop this further and support our existing and future customers.
“Our aim is to provide customers with creative solutions that help them achieve their business ambitions.
“The team works closely with colleagues in other parts of the RBS Group, including asset finance provider Lombard, RBS Invoice Finance, Business Banking and Global Transaction Services to provide a wide breadth of financial solutions to customers.
“Within Newcastle we also provide support through our sector specialists in property, healthcare, professionals, automotive and local authorities to allow local businesses to receive expert guidance from managers dedicated to their industry sector.”
