Don’t miss the festival boat
BUSINESSES are being invited to take part in Hartlepool’s multi-million-pound Tall Ships celebrations and Dockfest.
The first of two forums, in which businesses can find out how they can provide products and services, takes place from 5pm to 7.30pm tomorrow in the Sir William Gray Suite at Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience.
The £3.5m event is due to see one million visitors and up to 100 Tall Ships flood into the town over four days in August 2010. As a prelude, there will also be a feast of music and entertainment at Dockfest in July 2009.
The forum will include presentations from both Michelle Daurat, Hartlepool’s Tall Ships Project Manager, and Graham Frankland, Hartlepool Council’s Head of Procurement, Property and Public Protection.
Michelle Daurat said: “Both events require a huge amount of planning so firms need to get involved now or risk missing the boat!”
