Expert advice takes products around world

AN internationally recognised engineering company has been selling its products around the world with the help of the region’s leading business membership organisation.
ContiTech Beattie, which makes flexible hose assemblies, couplings and fluid handling systems for the oil and gas industry, has been exporting to a worldwide market including Africa, China, Korea, Brazil, Russia, the US and the Middle East, with support from the international trade team at the North East Chamber of Commerce.
Tracy Jordan, management accountant at the firm on the Jubilee Industrial Estate, Ashington, said: “The support from NECC’s international trade team has been first class and it has really made a difference to our exporting operations.
“We regularly consult the team for guidance, as well as training on export procedures and letters of credit, and if we ever just need some general advice, the team is always happy to help. Brian Dakers, NECC export services manager has even made a visit to our offices before to help us understand the eCert and aCert systems.
