500 distribution centre jobs could be under threat

THE jobs of 500 workers at a Darlington distribution centre could be under threat after its owners placed them on redundancy notice.
The DHL centre at Faverdale, which distributes for Argos, last night began a 30-day consultation process with staff.
The company reportedly said that the ultimate number of redundancies was yet to be decided.
