Key dates for NSAPI

November 2007: Teesside wins the battle to host the NSAPI at the local university.

January 2008: The eyes of the nation are on Teesside as NSAPI is launched at Westminster.

Summer 2008: Philip Jones takes up the reins as NSAPI’s new chief executive.

January 2009: Five regional bases or “spokes” - in the North-east, North-west, Midlands, Yorkshire and Humber and the South-east - have been established. Other regional spokes in Wales, Scotland and Ireland are planned.

January/ February 2009: NSAPI announces plans to develop a nationally accredited industry training and development framework. New services will include a Gold Standard for training and the web-based Skills Passport, which will see everyone within the process workforce hold a portable record of training and development.
