Get involved in the Seniors

BUSINESSES from the North East are being invited to Slaley Hall tomorrow to be a part of the De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship.

The commercial opportunities open day is being staged at the international golf resort where members of the business community will discover how they can boost their profile through the flagship event of the European Senior Tour.

The £250,000 event returns to Slaley Hall for the second year from June 25-28 where Gordon J Brand will defend the 2008 title he won in a thrilling six hole play-off with namesake Gordon Brand Junior.

Interested parties are invited to attend the event, which runs from 10am to 4pm, to explore the various hospitality, sponsorship and promotional opportunities available at the tournament, which will be broadcast daily on Sky Sports and is expected to attract thousands of spectators over the four days of competition. The Championship attracts some of the biggest names in European golf with winning Ryder Cup captains Sam Torrance and Ian Woosnam among the field last year.

The tournament will build on the successful return of international golf to Slaley Hall last year, tempting the region’s decision makers to get involved with golf.
