Lawyer aids punk story from stage to page

Laura Harper provided legal advice on the contents of 1 Top Class Manager after being approached by Lesley Gilbert and Manchester District Music Archive.

Laura said: “It was a real privilege to be involved in the project. Joy Division and New Order are iconic British bands and Rob was a legendary figure in the Manchester music scene.

“The book is a fascinating glimpse into the day-to-day reality of life as a band manager – including the importance of things like getting contracts signed! – and I feel proud to have played a small part in helping to get it published.”
