Prepare to be inspired by major achievers

ENTREPRENEURS are gearing up to be inspired by the power of positive thought at one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the North-East business calendar.
The Entrepreneurs Forum is hosting its sixth annual conference and dinner, with speakers to include a trailblazing peer of the realm and one of Europe’s leading IT entrepreneurs.
The Inspired6 conference’s keynote speaker is one of the business world’s most eminent and respected figures – Lord Bilimoria, the founder and chairman of Cobra Beer.
The venture was established 20 years ago as Karan Bilimoria sought to offer the perfect premium lager to complement Indian cuisine. From humble beginnings, selling Cobra from the back of a Citroen 2CV on the streets of London, he has created an empire that sells his product in more than 50 countries.
The launch of General Bilimoria Wines in 1999 and the later founding of Tandoori Magazine saw him branch out into other markets, leading to a Fast Track 200 listing. He was chosen as a cross-bench life peer in 2006, becoming the first Parsi in the House of Lords.
The chief executive of Finsbury Food Group and reigning Scottish Entrepreneur of the Year, Martin Lightbody, will also be sharing his wisdom.
