Put your shoes on for fun mix

VISIT Teesvalley’s latest tourism campaign aims a sharp kick up the backside to those who dare suggest that there’s not enough for people to do in the area.

The giant promotional shoe behind the Do Something Different campaign is supposed to represent the breadth of events, activities and attractions on offer for passing tourists.

And the key target is the people who live and work in Tees Valley but who perhaps don’t realise the adventure outside their own back door.

Head of visitTeesvalley, Julia Frater, below, said: “Throughout our extensive research, it became increasingly clear that the unique personality of the Tees Valley was not being fully utilised in our marketing activity.

“We devised a multi-layered campaign to introduce the many different things to see and do in a light-hearted and creative way, without detracting from the quality of attractions and events on offer.”
