NOF Energy, the business development organisation for the oil, gas and energy sectors, has experienced a surge of new members as companies aim to win more business in global markets.
More than 70 new members have joined the organisation since the start of 2009 with total membership comprising 330 companies across the UK.
Among the new members are Bibby Offshore, JDR Cables, Hertel UK, Total Safety Services Ltd and Northern Precision Engineering Ltd.
The growth in membership has been attributed to NOF Energy’s growing reputation both around the UK and worldwide and the need for supply chain diversification into nuclear and renewable energy.
In the past five years, NOF Energy has assisted members in securing in excess of £50m of new business and led over 40 market visits to important energy countries including Libya, USA, South Korea and Norway.
George Rafferty, chief executive of NOF Energy, said: “NOF Energy has seen an increase in membership recently because businesses are looking at every opportunity to get themselves in front of potential customers and seek new business leads.
“We are highly proactive in meeting our members on their premises so that we can develop an understanding of their business. We constantly strive to deliver real benefits to our members through our networking and promotional services.
“The state of the economy is also concentrating the minds of the supply chain and utilising NOF Energy’s business development services is playing a key role in providing support and opportunities.”
Acting as a gateway to the UK supply chain, NOF Energy is able to deliver new business opportunities and establish important relationships with global companies looking to benefit from the expertise and innovation of British companies.
In addition, the network created by NOF Energy’s membership has also encouraged inter-trading and collaboration between members.
