Local hot spots on tourist map
GISBOROUGH Hall and Hartlepool's Maritime Experience are among local tourism stars in the running for top awards next month.
The shortlist for the North East Tourism Awards 2009 features Gisborough Hall in the running for both the Large Hotel and Business Tourism awards and the Martime Experience for Large Visitor Attraction.
Other Tees Valley names on the shortlist are: Archer's Jersey Ice-Cream near Darlington for Taste of North East England and Small Visitor Attraction, and Jeffrey Bishop (Thistle Middlesbrough) and Wendy Clark (Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience) for Outstanding Customer Service.
