Sporting coup for Teesside’s Mango Studio

A FAST-GROWING digital agency has landed its biggest contract to date – and expanded globally with the addition of a new office in China.

Middlesbrough’s Mango Studio has overcome national competition to win contracts with Nottinghamshire County Council and the National Water Sports Centre, which covers 270 acres of parkland in the Midlands.

The agency was appointed by the county council to create a new brand and online identity for the sports centre, launch their presence at the NEC Outdoor Show and develop a secure online booking system for the activities, courses and events available at the centre.

Meanwhile the company, set up two years ago by Teesside University graduate Vinnie Morgan, has also established a development team in Shanghai, China, where it has employed three junior developers.

Mr Morgan said: “We set up in China for two reasons. First, it enabled us to expand our development team quickly and second, it enables us to work around the clock, meaning that we can continuously provide an efficient quality service.

“Our focus is on increasing our client base and to push the brand nationally. Our platform far exceeds other product offerings available to our clients and I am confident that with the right people we can achieve phenomenal results.

“I have many plans for the company, one of which is to become the preferred supplier of online booking systems in the UK.”

Mango’s contract with Nottinghamshire County Council came on the back of a portfolio of work with leisure clients SphereMania and Alloutadventures.

“We have experience of operating within this industry and continue to expand our portfolio and reputation,” Mr Morgan said.
