Backing for skills

MIDDLESBROUGH Council is giving businesses the chance to take part in a series of free skills workshops thanks to European funding.

More than £100m is spent each year on goods, works and service and the council is keen for small and medium sized businesses to become part of the supply chain. Local company Community Ventures has been appointed to deliver the range of workshops to help firms understand the procurement process, where to find opportunities and how to prepare successful tendering.
