DARLINGTON’S Stone Technical Services has clinched a string of new contracts as it progresses with its growth plans.
The firm, which specialises in high-level maintenance, has secured projects worth £120,000
In Sunderland, Stone is carrying out a refurbishment of the hood canopies at D’Arcy Court for housing company, Gentoo Sunderland.
And in Northumberland, it has been engaged to complete the refurbishment of the spire and carry out masonry repairs on St Mary Magdalene church at Mitford, near Morpeth.
Following extensive inspection works which it carried out last year, Stone has also been appointed to carry out a major shutdown of two new chimney stacks at SRM in Sunderland. SRM is one of the largest companies in Europe handling the disposal of organic waste materials.
In Chilton, County Durham, Stone has been engaged to erect a new fabricated chimney stack at TYK, a global leader in the development of new refractory materials and processes for heavy industries.
Darlington-based Stone, which also has offices in Pinner, Middlesex, now employs 25 and plans to open further regional offices as well as increase its £2m turnover by 25%.
It also works on a variety of high profile buildings such as St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Selfridges in London.
