Entrepreneur to give talks on business start-ups

ENTREPRENEUR and television Dragon Doug Richard is coming to the North East to urge people to set up in business.

The technology specialist who now focuses on investing in new businesses is holding a master class titled ‘Start Here! Starting and Growing a Successful Business’ at Newcastle University next week.

He said: “Starting a fast-growth company does not happen by magic. All businesses must have a long-term aim and purpose. That creates the focus and the identity of the company.”

The Start Here seminars are designed to be interactive, incorporating ‘live’ on-the-day delegate case studies, video examples, lectures, interactive discussions and Q&A sessions.

The event has been organised with Finance Tree, the University of Newcastle and Together with O², and is sponsored by law firm Ward Hadaway, Newcastle Science City and Access to Finance.

The event is at the Curtis Auditorium at Newcastle University on Wednesday.
