Gateshead motor store award ‘for the team’

A RECENT move to new premises has helped a Gateshead motor store win a prestigious national award.

Revolution has taken the CAT Magazine’s Retailer Of The Year Award for 2010, which is voted for by the general public.

The company, which was started by Glen and Lisa Campbell near the Baltic Art gallery in 1997, moved to its new base on Clock Mill Road, near the Metrocentre in Gateshead, in 2008. Mr Campbell said: “This is for the whole team.

“We’ve achieved this award collectively and I’d like to thank both my team and everybody that voted for us to win.

“It means so much more to us that it’s decided for by the general public rather than a panel of judges.

“As far as we’re concerned, they have and always will be our most objective critics. We are one of the UK’s leading mail-order retailers, as well as offering state-of-the-art workshop facilities and one of the finest arrays of aftermarket wheels, tyres and accessories in Europe.”

CAT – Car and Aftermarket Trader – is the industry bible and holds an awards ceremony each year, with members of the general public judging the winners.
