Signet Secretarial urges firms to use free support

AN Ashington-based recruitment company is urging other local businesses to take advantage of free support on offer after winning a place to supply staff to the NHS across England and Wales.

Following a rigorous application process, Signet Secretarial Services has been awarded a place on the national framework of Buying Solutions – the government executive agency that manages suppliers to UK public services.

Signet was helped to success by the team at the Procurement Centre – a partnership between Go Wansbeck and Northumberland County Council, which provides free support and assistance to businesses in south east Northumberland, helping them to benefit from public sector spending.

Gail Fenton is a partner at Signet, which was established more than 20 years ago and supplies office staff to companies across the region. She said: “This is an important and exciting win, which will help consolidate our position as a leading recruitment business within the North East.

“We are especially pleased as this is the first time we have taken part in this kind of process – we would never have got this far if it wasn’t for the encouragement and support of the team at the Procurement Centre.”

As well as providing tailored, one-to-one support, the Procurement Centre also hosts a range of events to ensure that companies are aware of the opportunities that are available and how they can maximise their chances of winning new business.
