DATA management group Brulines has added another company to its portfolio.
The Stockton-based company, which monitors beer in pubs as well as providing electronic payment, transaction and loyalty systems for the petrol forecourt and global oil sectors, is taking over Energy Level Systems Ltd (ELS).
Brulines will pay an initial £700,000 in cash followed by a deferred payment of up to £1.35m depending on pre-tax profits for the two years to the end of March 2012.
ELS, which is based in Market Harborough, Leics, is the UK distributor for OPW Fuel Management Systems tank gauging systems. The company had a £2.5m turnover and profits of £151,000 last year.
Brulines chief executive, James Dickson, said: “This acquisition will be earnings enhancing from the outset and is another important step in developing a market leading integrated solution for forecourt operators and underlines our intention to replicate in the forecourt market our success in the leisure sector.”
Meanwhile, Brulines’ Edensure subsidiary, which captures data on petrol station forecourts, has entered into a partnership with Indigo Retail Technology. The deal will take Edensure’s technology into 7% of UK forecourts.
