Newcastle businesswoman launches venture

A BUSINESS graduate has launched a venture which she says can solve a problem for working parents without enough time to exercise.
Newcastle-based Sally Devine provides childcare during a workout routine which may prove a boon to parents during the coming summer holidays.
She says the venture – suitably named Devine Bodies Personal Training – began as a result of the frustration she experienced after becoming a mum.
"As a new mother and fitness enthusiast, I was keen to get back into my pre-pregnancy jeans after giving birth to Alfie, who is now three.,” she said.
“Like many mothers, it was important for me to regain self-esteem and spend a bit of time on myself.
“However, there are only a couple of gyms offering crèche facilities and this childcare is limited to only two hours a day.”
Devine Bodies offer one-on-one training with optional childminding facilities. Sally works from a private gym at her home in Benton, and childcare is provided by Rachel Ronan, a registered OFSTED childminder who lives three doors away.
Sally's client base includes both men and women, although she does intend on becoming a specialist in looking after mothers.
