Green company Eaga hoping for success on the field

GREEN services company eaga will be rooting for Durham County Cricket Club in their 40-over clash with Notts Outlaws this Sunday (25 july) at Emirates Durham ICG.

As the Dynamos 2010 Clydesdale Bank 40 shirt sponsor, the Newcastle-based business will also be hoping its team progresses to the semi-finals of the competition.

The company employs more than 4,000 staff on schemes including the Government’s WarmFront initiative to improve insulation in the homes of the elderly.

Eaga, which teamed up with double LV= County Champions Durham County Cricket Club in April, will also help the club manage its own carbon footprint as it continues to grow and enjoy on-field success.

Drew Johnson, eaga chief executive, said: “We are thrilled to sponsor Durham CCC.

“The club has been incredibly successful over the last few years as it progresses on and off the field.

“Their meteoric rise from entering first-class cricket in 1992 to current champions is outstanding and an achievement we can all be proud of in this region. “

Durham CCC chief executive David Harker said, “It’s great to have eaga supporting us on the field as our shirt sponsor, especially as we aim to progress to the semi-finals in the CB40.

“It’s important to us as a club to develop an extended relationship with our sponsors so we’re pleased to be working closely with eaga, to benefit from their expertise, as they help us to reduce our carbon footprint. “
