Rockliffe Hall is on course for success

A YEAR after opening, the North East’s newest golf venue says numbers are exceeding its expectations.

During its first year the North East’s first five-star hotel, golf and spa resort, Rockliffe Hall has signed almost 200 members with over 10,000 rounds played on the course.

Director of golf operations, Ian Knight, said: “One year on, we are receiving more compliments about the quality of the course. It’s a fantastic thing to hear for such a young venue.

“That, coupled with the fantastic practice and off-course facilities is proving to be a big attraction for individuals and businesses alike.”

The venue is proving popular for businesses with the likes of North East law firm, Ward Hadaway, Jaguar and the North East Chamber of Commerce are also hosting corporate events at Rockliffe.

He admitted: “We make no apologies for operating something a little bit special here, where the emphasis is on service and a fantastic experience. The message is certainly getting through that Rockliffe Hall offers a great value experience for any golfer in the region who wants to come and enjoy a day with us.”
