THE Entrepreneurs' Forum and the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) are hosting a Q&A event on March 29 at Newcastle City Library in an effort to encourage sole traders to explore the opportunities recruitment can offer them.
The event features If We Can, You Can member Jonathan Wade, founding member of Neuro-Partners, a company set up in 2006 to provide specialist rehabilitation and recovery services for those with brain injury and neurological conditions.
The company has gone from strength-to-strength, growing its workforce from the three employees to over 250 across the North East and North West of England.
Wade said: “As directors developing a new company, we became increasingly aware that investing time and training to our staff was essential in order to deliver a high-quality service.
“Employing new staff across all four of our regions in Newcastle, Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire has had a direct impact on the growth and expansion of the business, and allowed us to continue to meet the needs of those we serve.”
The event – which also features last year’s If We Can, You Can winner Joanna Feeley, who will talk about her own experiences of “hiring the first employee” – will showcase the opportunities that increasing your workforce can offer a businesses, particularly in regards to expansion and growth.
