North East firms are named as finalists in challenge

TWO companies which could become North East ambassadors for entrepreneurship have been named by judges of the If We Can, You Can Challenge 2011.

You now have the chance to vote for which of the two finalists of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum campaign should be the Journal’s 2011 Face of North East Entrepreneurship.

Guy Letts, from Cramlington-based CustomerSure, a developer of customer satisfaction software for businesses and Marty O’Doherty from Newcastle-based Mystaffdeals, which offers employee incentives and deals to businesses, were both selected to be finalists of the challenge after pitching their businesses to a panel of entrepreneurs.

The announcement will be made today at the Entrepreneurs’ Forum Eighth Annual Business Conference at the Hilton Hotel.

Guy Letts said: “I am delighted to have been chosen as a finalist and especially pleased to be recognised by the Entrepreneurs’ Forum which has been a great source of advice and encouragement. I’m really grateful to my team who’ve worked so hard to launch the product on schedule.

“We’re still in the early stages of building the business but after fine-tuning the product with our pilot customers we’re now confident that we can help companies who want to grow their businesses through the delivery of exceptional customer service.

“This announcement couldn’t have come at a better time; it will help us towards our aim of building a successful but responsible company so we are all very happy to get through to the final stage.”
