TEESSIDE University’s Darlington campus will open this month with a free showcase event specifically for businesses and employers.

The Door to Darlington event will feature an exhibition of 20 stands giving advice about skills training for staff through workforce development, specialist expertise to help develop business, help in recruiting talented staff, business start-up advice and access to the university’s expertise.

Catherine Kearney, the university’s enterprise and business liaison manager, said: “We are showing employers what’s available in the new building and in our portfolio.

“It’s an opportunity to show our presence to all employers, ranging from small and medium enterprises to large companies.”

The event will take place on July 21 from 5-7pm at the university’s £13m, five-storey Darlington campus in Vicarage Lane, behind Darlington College’s campus off Haughton Road. For details email business@tees.ac.uk
