FAST-growing car dealership company Vertu has added another Nissan dealership to the business.

It is paying £3.2m for the Widnes Care Centre, which includes the dealership in Widnes, Cheshire, and a mobility vehicle conversion business based in Batley, West Yorkshire.

Vertu, which mainly trades under the Bristol Street Motors brand, now operates four Nissan dealerships and the acquisition means it now has 83 sales sites nationwide.

In a trading update to the City, Vertu  said today: “The UK consumer environment remains both challenging and volatile. The group has continued to trade in line with market expectations.”

Vertu will announce its half year results on October 19.
