IT solutions firm Claritas has developed a system for leading subsea company Soil Machine Dynamics as part of a £215,000 contract.
Wetherby and Newcastle-based Claritas Solutions provided an IT network and security system for SMD, which was designed to deal with its continuing expansion.
SMD had expanded from 100 to almost 300 employees since 2008.
Peter Hood, business development director of Claritas, said: “This was a challenging situation for us as there was a big programme to install and we wanted to be able to provide a time and money-saving solution as quickly as we could.”
The new system went live in March. SMD’s head of IT Andrew Haswell said the company saw “improvements literally overnight” in efficiency and effectiveness.
