A MARKETING specialist who always stands out in a crowd did not have to think hard when coming up with a name for her new business.
Alex Purvis has had pink hair since 2004, which made her instantly recognisable on the networking and social media circuits in the North East.
So when she was made redundant from her job in marketing for an IT company, she decided to capitalise on her unique selling point by starting up on her own as Pink Label Marketing.
Purvis said: “My hair is my brand and it makes sense to tie in my new business name with it.
“Marketing isn’t just about advertising, it’s about creating a brand, something that is recognisable and associated positively with your business.”
As well as her pink hair, she is also using custom-made playing cards, containing her contact details on the reverse, as her business cards.
She said: “I love using my creativity in a positive way for my clients and everyone who has trusted me so far to look after their marketing has been tickled pink.”
Based in Gosforth, the new business offers graphic design, PR, photography and copy-writing services.
