Donations wanted for new BHF store in Stockton

THE British Heart Foundation (BHF) is appealing to the Stockton community to help make their new furniture and electrical store a success, by donating unwanted goods to the new site due to open at 144 High Street on Tuesday, February 7.

BHF staff hope the store will be fully stocked with a variety of household goods including suites, sofas, chairs, dining sets, beds and wardrobes, plus an array of electrical items including televisions, stereo equipment, washing machines, fridges and dishwashers.

As long as the items are in good condition, the BHF can arrange collection.

This will be the 138th furniture and electrical store to open in the UK.

BHF shops and furniture and electrical stores raise £26m annually which goes towards the fight against heart disease - the UK’s biggest killer.

David Ayre, area manager, said: “We need to fill the store with donated goods before we open so we are urging people if they are having a clearout to book a free collection with us – it’s an easy way to support the nation’s heart charity.”

To arrange a free collection please call the store on 0844 848 9607 or visit www.bhf.org.uk/collection to book your collection online.
