EVENT management firm She's Gott It! has scooped two major Scottish contracts and is pushing ahead with its overseas expansion plans.
The Chester-le-Street firm will provide the full event and marketing consultancy services to Brunton Hall in Musselburgh and has again secured the contract to event manage the official Edinburgh Christmas after providing the service since 2007.
Brunton Hall has recently undergone a major refurbishment and started to look at theatre plans. She’s Gott It! has been appointed to look at staging large-scale conferences, trade fairs, catered functions and performing arts events at the venue.
The £1.2m turnover company also beat off competition in a rigorous tendering process to retain the Edinburgh Christmas 2012 contract, which provides events attracting more than 450,000 people.
Both contracts are for a year, which managing director Nickie Gott says gives her the confidence to explore expansion opportunities elsewhere.
She said: “We’re looking to recruit one more because we are looking at bringing things like book-keeping in house.
“It’s given us a good platform and it gives us the confidence to do that.
“I am absolutely delighted that we have been able to secure these contracts which will most certainly support our further development and growth plans for not only the region but in Scotland.
“Long-term contracts in this current economic climate are a great way to support creation of new jobs and business growth.”
She’s Gott It! opened an Edinburgh office last September, with one of the company’s seven staff permanently based there.
Ms Gott said: “It goes up to 12 people over the Christmas period from the beginning of November to the beginning of February.
“They are seasonal people and we take some people up.”
