A NORTH-EAST motor dealer has completed a £1m investment project.

Simon Bailes Peugeot has completed the final phase of the redevelopment of its three Peugeot dealerships across North Yorkshire and Teesside.

The Northallerton and Stockton branches underwent major refurbishment last year and now the Guisborough dealership has benefited from a major facelift.

Simon Bailes Peugeot has been trading in Guisborough for more than 15 years and employs a team of 12 staff.

The work has completely changed the exterior of the 2,000sq ft site turning it into a Peugeot “blue box” style location. The interior also has a new look, more showroom space and an improved customer environment.

Guisborough-based building experts Henderson Campbell carried out the refurbishment of the building which included internal, structural and external works.

Simon Bailes said: “I carefully selected Henderson Campbell to complete the works at the Guisborough branch because I feel their values and standards closely match those of my company.

“It is a good example of two local companies working perfectly in harmony to benefit the development of the community overall.”

Simon Bailes Peugeot, which was established more than 30 years ago by Simon Bailes, has further dealerships in Northallerton and Stockton and, in total, employs more than 120 staff.

Antony Henderson, managing director of Henderson Campbell, added: “This was a very interesting project to work on as it is a perfect example of two Guisborough-based companies working together to help boost the local economy for the future.”
