MOTOR equipment supplier Gott Technical Services is raising its growth targets after securing a big contract in London.
The family business in Morpeth has secured a substantial order from Gateshead-based motor dealership operator Vertu Motors to supply and install two MOT automated test lanes and 13 vehicle lifts for Vauxhall’s first new look brand centre in Chingford in London.
Alongside its national expansion, Gott has also recently received regional orders for garage equipment from Northumbria Police and Carillion in recent weeks.
The firm’s sales and marketing director Ian Gott said: “It’s encouraging to see growth for the company in 2012 already and great start to our financial year, due to our clients starting to spend again. We seem to be bucking the trend compared with a lot of other small businesses in the region.
“The order from Vertu Motors is a great triumph for us; demonstrating our ability to successfully compete against other equipment suppliers nationwide for major contracts.”
Vertu purchasing director Elaine Cole said: “We sell and service the full Vauxhall range out of our new Vauxhall Brand Centre, including the performance range and electric models, so it was imperative we partnered with a supplier who could provide high-quality equipment on budget and in a timely manner, as such Gott Technical Services installed the majority of our workshop equipment.
“We use Gott across our automotive retail group for services including workshop equipment maintenance, supply and inspection.
“Gott are a trusted partner and we look forward to continuing our long- term relationship with them.”
Gott has more than 500 clients from garages to large multi-site motor retail groups. It operates as a consultancy in the public transport, haulage, local government and emergency service sectors.
