A MAJOR business summit is to be held on Teesside next month.

Tees Valley Unlimited has announced the inaugural event, created, driven and delivered by businesses across Teesside and featuring a keynote speech by a Government Minister.

Taking place on Tuesday, July 10 at Dunedin House on Teesdale Business Park, the summit - which is being supported by the Evening Gazette - will be highly interactive and present an ideal platform for delegates to understand the challenges and opportunities that will emerge during the coming months on Teesside and across international markets.

It will showcase industry experts and the business acumen, skills and talent available throughout the region in a range of sectors including logistics, advanced manufacturing, healthcare and digital.

There also will be opportunities to network and build new relationships with delegates able to meet, discuss, challenge and develop their commercial knowledge through a series of workshops and one-to-one meetings with both sector peers and nationally recognised service providers.

A diverse spectrum of exhibitors, offering a wide range of products and services, will be attending alongside support organisations that can provide practical advice and assistance.

Stephen Catchpole, TVU managing director, said: “TVU is determined to assist the collaboration, growth and development across Tees Valley and an important part of this is showcasing the area’s successes and future potential to leading national figures.”

On the day delegates will be able to book in for business meetings with experts including tax advisors and training providers.

There will also be interactive workshops which will be led by industry leaders including UKTI, HMRC and the National Apprenticeship Service.

Key topics will include:

Securing finance
Trading Overseas
HR, training and employee relations
Identifying opportunities for growth
Business law
Marketing and social media
