THE oldest entertainment venue in Newcastle is spending £100,000 on a new cafe.
The Assembly Rooms, on Fenkle Street near Central Station, will build More More More in the courtyard at the front of the historic building.
The cafe will serve snacks and will also be the first in the region to have a £10,000 industrial-sized Nespresso coffee system. It is expected to open next month.
Assembly Rooms owner Antony Michaelides, said: “We have an amazing team in the kitchens, who have thrived on the new challenge.
“We’ve been experimenting with some wonderful new and exciting flavours for our cakes, biscuits and other delicious snacks.”
