MOBILE phone electronics firm Filtronic has said its wireless business is growing but its broadband is still on the slide.
The firm, which is run from Newton Aycliffe, said that overall trading was in line with expectations and that its wireless phone work was running ahead of forecasts and had received enquiries from Europe and the US hoped to grow it further.
But a continuing decline in broadband using radio modules was to be only partly offset by revenues in E-band and aerospace and the business was slightly behind expectations. Its share value fell nearly 9% on this morning’s opening prices to 40.9p on the news.
