Terrace Hill secures £30m contract

PROPERTY company Terrace Hill has signed up to develop a £30m leisure centre in Darlington.

The company, which has a strong presence in the region where it is working on a number of supermarkets, has signed the deal with Darlington Borough Council to redevelop a 1.9 acre former bus station in Feethams.

The state-of-the-art leisure complex will cover 140,000sq ft and will include a nine screen multiplex cinema and 80 bedroom hotel, plus restaurants, bars and shops.

Terrace Hill said a planning application would be submitted early in the New Year and it expects the scheme to be completed and operational by December 2014.
